CLUB RULES 2011
A. CLOTHING : THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTION!
• Only tennis shoes are permitted. Because of court surface, shoes must have proper tread design for tennis. Other soft-soled shoes, with or without rubber soles, are not acceptable.
• Clothing specifically designed for tennis is mandatory on the courts. Clothing for other sports will not be accepted. No cutoff shorts, jeans, or T-shirts. No bicycle or gym shorts.
B. MAGNETIC COURT RESERVATION BOARD:
• The court reservation board must be used at all times. Members must report to the supervisor on duty before going on the courts.
• Supervisors will determine fitness of courts for play (e.g. after rain).
• Juniors are allowed on the courts (subject to court availability):
• Weekdays : 8 a.m. to closing. [Adults have priority from 5 p.m. to closing.]
• Weekends and public holidays : No restrictions.
• Evenings : Juniors (10 and under) may play tennis with an adult.
• There are certain times reserved for juniors and seniors coaching, court maintenance, team matches, team practices and various social events. Please see notice board and schedule of events for details.
• Play is restricted to 30 minutes for singles and 45 minutes for doubles. Doubles will have preference over singles when people are waiting. If a singles game is in progress and a number of people arrive to play, the singles will be allowed to finish their 30 minutes of play. Members playing tournament matches must clearly so indicate on the reservation board. They will then be allowed to finish by going beyond the 30 or 45 minutes of regulation time.
• Members should not rely on the duty supervisor to make up a game. Supervisors are not there to play tennis, but to see that the clubhouse is kept in order and to answer the phone.
C. CLUBHOUSE :
• The clubhouse is for use by members and their guests only.
• All members are expected to take responsibility for ensuring that the courts and clubhouse are kept clean.
• All litter must be deposited in the receptacles provided.
• No Smoking in the Clubhouse or on the deck.
D. GUESTS :
• Members may invite non-members to play as guests at the club. NO GUEST WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY MORE THAN 3 TIMES IN THE SEASON.
• Members must sign their guest's name in the visitors' book in the clubhouse. GUEST FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE PLAY TO SUPERVISOR ON DUTY.
FEES : Adults: $7.00 per day Juniors: $3.00 per day
E. SMALL CHILDREN :
The club strongly discourages small children (pre-school age) being brought to the club and left unattended or if attended running around disrupting court play. Please use your discretion.
